Portfolios
The RadRoch portfolios have been devised to accommodate a range of traders. A particular portfolio or a combination of portfolios can be used for traders with different risk tolerances and preferred holding period time frames. Generally, a maximum of five positions are held in each portfolio.
Portfolio #1 – Commodity Futures
The Commodities Portfolio is a high-risk portfolio recommended only for advanced traders with pure speculation capital. The portfolio focuses on (but is not limited to) electronically traded futures contracts in the Mini 5X Dow, Euro FX, Australian Dollar, Japanese Yen, U.S. T-Bond, and Mini NY Gold. The portfolio focuses on identifying technical patterns and placing trades in contracts presenting high-probability price movements. This portfolio will contain long and short positions in commodity future contracts.
Portfolio #2 – Stocks
The Stock Portfolio uses a strategy to buy and sell stocks that have:
1. Recent price movement has surged or shown a continuation pattern and is among a stock industry that has shown a recent surge or continuation pattern.
2. Recently displayed strength in their price movement and are recently listed among the IBD® 100. (This criteria is usually used for long positions only. )
Stocks for this portfolio may be chosen using other data from the IBD® newspaper and information from Telechart® proprietary technical indicators. Recommendations will establish both long and short positions. Recommendations, price targets, and stop-loss points are established through technical analysis.
Portfolio #3 – Mutual Funds - Rydex Funds
The Rydex Portfolio uses technical analysis in an attempt to profit from mutual funds offered by Rydex Funds. Trends and technical retracements of market sectors, the bond market, U.S. dollar movements, and market indices are followed. Rydex Funds are mutual funds with a net asset value (NAV) calculated every day. When using this portfolio it is important in considering a broker that does not have “early redemption” fees associated with trades in Rydex Funds or trading through Rydex Funds directly. The portfolio distribution is allocated towards a combination of funds that focus on U.S. indices, overseas indices, government bonds, dollar indices, and U.S. market sectors.
